With alpine trees surrounding the base of its peak, magnificent views over the southern moor and Burrator Reservoir nearby, Leather Tor has some of the most dramatic vistas around. A fin of rock rising steeply from the surrounding landscape, Leather Tor is great for a scramble.

Despite its modesty compared to Dartmoor’s highest points, Leather Tor has steep drops from the granite stacks and can be teamed with Sharpitor and Peek Hill for an excellent short circular walk.
