We accept refund requests within 7 days of payment and all refunds are processed within 14 days after payment.

We reserve the right to make changes to our website, policies, and these Conditions of Use & Sale at any time. 12. Competitions with Visit Dartmoor

Please read these competition rules carefully. If you enter one of our competitions, we will assume that you have read these rules and that you agree to them. All information detailing how to enter a competition forms part of these terms and conditions.

To enter a competition you must be: (a) UK resident; and (b) 18 years old or over at the time of entry.

Only one entry per person.

If you want to enter a competition you may enter via the website, email or social media as directed in the competition announcement.

Sending an e-mail is not proof that we have received your entry. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost or delayed, or which are not received for any reason.

The winner will be chosen either by a panel of judges comprised of members of the marketing team of Visit Dartmoor or at random from all correct entries, depending on the nature of the competition.

The closing date is as specified in each competition, and Visit Dartmoor reserves the right to amend the competition end date at any time. All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date.

If you win a competition, we will notify you by e-mail or Social Media, depending how you entered. The judges’ decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Winners must claim their prize within 15 days of notification by Visit Dartmoor unless otherwise stated in the correspondence. The winner must contact Visit Dartmoor using the same method they were contacted by.

The prize will not be transferable to another person.

No part of a prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize.

If an advertised prize is not available, we reserve the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.

Incorrectly completed entries will be disqualified.

Visit Dartmoor, or the third party administrating the prize, will endeavour to send prizes within a month of the competition end date but cannot guarantee this delivery time.

The winners may be required to take part in publicity. The winner’s name and county may be disclosed to anyone who requests this within one month after the published closing date.

A list of the winners for the competitions carried out within the last 3 months can be obtained by emailing jenny@visitdartmoor.co.uk, please allow 14 working days for a response.

Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of Visit Dartmoor and accordingly Visit Dartmoor may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to Visit Dartmoor.

Employees of organisations connected with the competition are not eligible for entry.

Entries from 3rd party and automated competition websites will be excluded.

13. Photography Competitions

All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have been published elsewhere. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of the subject and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.

Copyright in all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, in providing the image, each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to Visit Dartmoor to feature any or all of the submitted images in any of their publications, their websites and/or in any promotional material.
