Visit Dartmoor Ltd is a data controller and we are committed to protecting your personal data and working in accordance with all relevant data protection legislation. It is a business requirement that we collect and process your data in to deliver the products and services you have requested. This Privacy Notice explains how we process and use the data we collect.
2. What data do we hold?
We collect personal data through the Visit Dartmoor Website when you request a brochure, sign up to the Visit Dartmoor Newsletter, enter a Competition or blog comments.
We hold the personally identifiable information, such as the name, title, email address, home or work address and telephone number of our customers and external providers under contract to us. We only hold the minimum amount of data necessary.

When someone visits www.visitdartmoor.co.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
3. How do we use your data?
We process your data to enable us to carry out our activities in accordance with our objectives and for our administrative purposes. We use your data to deliver the products and services that you have requested such as our newsletter, brochure, or dependant on consent, any other information that may be of interest to you on our services.
We use MailChimp, a third party marketing platform for communicating our newsletters and special offers. If you have consented to receive marketing, you may opt out at a later date.
If entering a competition, your data is captured through a third party called SurveyMonkey.
If you have requested a brochure, your details are sent to our distribution centre, a third party company Glide Media. We only send your address and name to ensure your brochure fulfilment.
You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please see section 6 below.
4. How will we share your data?
We ensure that appropriate data sharing agreements are in place prior to sharing your personal data.
We do not share your data with any other business unless given explicit consent. Where consent is given via Competitions and third party consent, your data will be shared to the said third party as per the conditions of the competition stated.
5. How do we protect your data?

If you complete a competition questionnaire or visitor survey, your personal data is obtained by Survey Monkey and then transferred to the MailChimp Database if consent is applicable. 6. Your rights and preferences
If you no longer wish to receive communications please contact Visit Dartmoor on simon@visitdartmoor.co.uk specifying which communication channels you wish to unsubscribe from, or click on the unsubscribe link in any of Our communications.
You have the right to:
• ask us to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you
• object to specific data uses, as described above
• object to receiving communications and direct marketing.

7. How long do we keep your data?
After consent we retain your personal information for 2 years. After this period, all customer data is anonymised.

Our website contains links to other websites. This privacy policy only applies to this website so when you link to other websites you should read their own privacy policies.
