Easy Transport Links

From the north and east of England, Dartmoor and the rest of Devon are accessed via the M5 motorway. To get to Dartmoor from London and the Southeast, choose routes via the A303, the M4 or the M3. Leave the M5 at Exeter (Junction 31).

For North Dartmoor take the A30 dual carriageway towards Cornwall. You can access a selection of North Dartmoor locations from the A30.

From 20th November 2021 the Exeter/Okehampton Dartmoor Line resumed, directly connecting the northern part of Dartmoor to the city of Exeter. More information about this Dartmoor Line can be found HERE.

Please see our Travel Information section HERE.

Devon is known for its rural roads and country lanes, but we have many A roads and dual carriageways criss-crossing the region making your trips to the many towns and villages a pleasure. Our Dartmoor Map highlights the smaller roads, and we have advice for coaches and motorhome drivers HERE
