Friday 23rd December
If you’re arriving today, you can look forward to our Christmas Wine Tasting Dinner – a superb four-course set-menu dinner, with carefully matched wines introduced by our expert.
Christmas Eve – Saturday 24th December
The Christmas festivities begin in earnest, with a distinctly indulgent four-course candlelit dinner, with a little live music to set the scene.
Christmas Day – Sunday 25th December
Happy Christmas from the whole team! Enjoy your hearty Devon Breakfast – but be sure to leave room for a sumptuous and traditional Six Course Christmas Day Lunch. Enjoy a lazy afternoon in our warm lounges, and look forward to Chef’s delicious cold buffet supper, followed by movie night with ice cream and popcorn.
Boxing Day – Monday 26th December
Enjoy a guided stroll around some of Tavistock’s historic highlights after breakfast. This evening, look forward to a relaxed three course dinner in the elegant surroundings of our Woburn Restaurant, followed by a flutter on the casino tables (just for fun!).
Tuesday 27th December
Take your time over a lazy breakfast. We’ll be sorry to say farewell – perhaps we can tempt you to stay another night or two?

Butternut squash velouté – garlic croutons, nutmeg cream
Howells smoked ham hock – piccalilli, Jail Ale toast, pickles, herb cress, pork crumb
The Bedford prawn cocktail – burnt lemon mayonnaise, avocado, pickled fennel, hot smoked salmon, parmesan cheese straw, caviar, frissé
Roast Devon turkey – traditional festive trimmings, pork & sage stuffing, gravy
Dartmoor beef & Jail Ale suet pudding – garlic cream potato, onion ring, buttered greens, beef dripping herb crumb
Gilt head bream – celeriac remoulade, Brixham langoustine bisque, cockles, pak choi, cress, chive oil
Falafel cake – glazed root vegetables, coriander, pomegranate, herb salad, Rose Harissa dressing
Christmas Pudding – Devon clotted cream, brandy sauce, pecan & honey crumb
The Bedford lemon posset – curd, spiced blackberries, meringue, sorbet, sorrel
