About

Nymetwood Treehouses is set in 20 acres of woodland, meadow and apple orchard in a south facing valley with views over Dartmoor. The two modern luxury treehouses sit high in the tree canopy, providing the perfect hideaway for anyone looking to escape the day-to-day and immerse themselves in the peace and tranquility of their surroundings.

Blackcap – the hilltop treehouse – boasts stunning and uninterrupted views over the rolling Devon countryside.

While Starling, the woodland treehouse – is nestled in the trees and truly surrounded by nature.

From the super king size bed in the mezzanine, to the sofa in front of the woodburner and large copper bathtub on the deck, each cabin at Nymetwood Treehouses provides the perfect spot to unwind and recharge. Whether it’s enjoying the views over a morning coffee or stargazing from the comfort of your mezzanine bed, you’ll find everything you need in the treehouses. Both have fully fitted kitchens and shower rooms, not to mention stunning outdoor copper baths, big enough for two if you fancy a soak.

The 20-acre site is very rural and bustling with wildlife. Woodpeckers, owls and birds of prey are regular feathered visitors and if you’re lucky you might spot a deer grazing at the edge of the woodland.

With Dartmoor National Park on your doorstep, it’s easy to explore ancient woodland, high granite tors and vast tracts of rolling moorland or even enjoy a spot of wild swimming. There’s also a wide variety of nearby pubs and restaurants, attractions, country gardens and local arts and culture.

Or… just sit back in the midst of our beautiful countryside, relax and take it all in.

Nymetwood Treehouses is a family run business and the owners live and work in a 200-year-old farmhouse on the easy side of the site. They wanted to create a unique, sustainable and luxurious place for people to truly relax, bathe in nature and escape the stresses of every day life in absolute comfort.

The family were determined that the project should be low impact and benefit the local area wherever possible, so worked with local and renowned timber framers Emmanuel Hendry on the design and build. The Scandi-inspired cabins were a two year project of love, built using locally sourced and sustainable wood and 100% low impact materials, as well as local contractors and suppliers.

Welcome hampers are also locally sourced and toiletries and cleaning products are organic and kind to the environment. In addition, the owners have planted hundreds of new trees and hedge plants and turned their fields over to meadow to encourage butterflies, bees and other wildlife.
