Event Details

The Totnes and Bridgetown Festival of Arts and Culture is a celebration! Using visual arts, circus, theatre, dance, film, storytelling, spoken word, music and more to explore place and belonging. The festival brings together a local network of community groups, artists, independent venues, outdoor spaces and individuals showcasing a programme of workshops, shows and events taking place over 10 days.

Taking place throughout the town, the festival features headline performances from Shakespeare’s Globe and Rasha Nahas as well as performances from local groups, and new and emerging local talent. Tickets can be purchased per event and there is something on offer for children, young people and adults! The full programme will be released gradually over the coming months so keep up to date by following @totnesfest on social media or signing up to our mailing list.

The 2022 festival focuses on themes of place and belonging to explore what ‘Totnes’ and ‘Bridgetown’ mean to the community. On a community level, the festival aims to nurture social inclusion and build a strong sense of place.

All are welcome and invited to take part in the Festival Parade and Procession on Sunday 21st August. The parade and procession represent the culmination of the festival programme and all of the workshops and events taking place in the run up to the festival. There will be multiple opportunities for residents to be involved in the parade planning process and we will facilitate open info sessions, making workshops and rehearsals that are open to the community. These will be free of charge and held in accessible venues.

We look forward to seeing you there!
