Event Details

A Dartmoor Day Retreat to make your heart sing with the joys of spring.

Taking place on Sunday 22nd May at Southcombe Barn, Widecombe-in-the-Moor, the day will be filled with embodied movement, plant wisdom, and nourishing food and drink.

The morning will begin with a grounding embodied yoga practice led by Harriet. The gentle movement will be suitable for everyone, and will guide you to settle into your surroundings before playfully unfurling into the day. Vashti from Southcombe Barn will close the session with a relaxing and restorative sound bath.

Lunch will be a nourishing plant based feast made with love by Dartmoor chef Yuki Vevers

In the afternoon we will wander through the grounds of Southcombe Barn, taking in the abundant bounty of late spring on Dartmoor. Mariam from Totnes Community Herbal will share her wisdom of plant medicine in a practical workshop using plants from their garden in Dartington as well as plants foraged on our walk.

This will be an intimate event with very limited numbers so we recommend you book soon. If you are coming from further afield we can suggest some lovely local accommodation.

Tickets are between £90 and £120 based on your means. We are putting a lot of love and energy into this event. Please pay what you can afford at the moment relative to your income.

We have two “pay what you can” bursary spaces available for those who need them. Please enquire for more information if you think you might be eligible.

Buying a ticket will help support Totnes Community Herbal in delivering their community wellbeing work. Totnes Community Herbal C.I.C is a garden-based community project that aims to make the knowledge of growing and using herbs for well-being accessible to all, through offering a range of inclusive experiential learning opportunities. Their medicinal herb garden is based at Dartington where they run regular volunteer days and affordable and free community workshops.
