Pink Cottage is a cosy, romantic, rural cottage, traditionally built from Dartmoor granite situated in the “Middle Moor” in the pretty village of Ponsworthy and provides an escape from the outside world. It is ideally situated for walking Dartmoor or exploring by car and is a great base from which to enjoy the many outdoor attributes and beauty that Dartmoor provides.
The accommodation for up to four people includes a double bedroom upstairs and on the ground floor a sitting room, a fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer and dishwasher, bunk bedroom which can accommodate adults or children and bathroom (with a bath and shower). There is a covered parking area beside the cottage.
There is a peaceful “cottage” garden to the rear of the property from which you can often watch buzzards circling whilst hearing the sound of the West Webburn River.
Golf, pony trekking, fishing, canoeing and other moorland activities are available locally and there are many picturesque walks from the front door, including the Two Moors Way. You can take the footpath to the Tavistock Inn at Poundsgate. The Rugglestone Inn at Venton Bridge near Widecombe is also within walking distance and both provide a good variety of pub fare.
Widecombe–in-the–Moor is close by and nearby Ashburton has a fine selection of shops and amenities. The South Devon Coast with its many beaches and delightful harbours is within easy reach by car.
